What is AAUW?

The American Association of University Women is a national organization that promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. AAUW is the leader in publishing research on girls, particularly how gender affects self-esteem, career aspirations, educational experience, and interest in math and science.  The AAUW Educational Foundation is the world’s largest source of funding exclusively for graduate women.  The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund provides funds and support to women seeking judicial redress for gender discrimination.
